About Me
My name is Thomas Ruckli and I’m a 19-year-old hobby photographer from Switzerland.
I‘ve been into photography for more than five years, and it truly became my main passion.
Preferably, I take wildlife pictures, but other types of photography are more than welcome too.
One of my preferred photography styles is the Black and White photography:
reducing a photo on the simple aspects of light and darkness is a great way to focus on the essential.
I first started taking pictures when I was 13 years old, using my parent’s camera. Later, I decided to buy my own camera,
and since then I stocked up my gear with lenses and other accessories.
I’m very thankful that I could spend my school year 2019/2020 studying near Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada.
There, I was happy to live a photographer’s dream: the possibilities seemed to be unlimited and resulted in many great shots.
With my family’s connection to Tanzania in East Africa, I spent one of my photographically active summers in that country
and was honoured to take images of its gorgeous wildlife.
With my photos, I’m trying to show the incredible beauty of our world with its stunning inhabitants,
ranging from flying animals like birds and bats to stationary plants and mushrooms.
Earth’s nature urgently needs a lot more protection and we as a society have to undergo
a fundamental change in order to preserve this indescribable beauty for generations to come.
I would appreciate it if you’d have a look at my gallery and let me bring this wonderful world to you.
And then start to take care of it and use your voice to become ambassador for a wild magnificent nature!
All together we can make the world a better place for all life on this unique planet!
